Departed Sydney, uneventful run to free camping at Battery Rock rest area (nr Merriwa,NSW).  Starting new lifestyle, in bed by 9pm.

9:30am departure so not yet in the early start groove. Beautiful sunny day for the drive to the Warrumbungles. Settled in to a nice spot with amazing views of the mountains and finished the day with a 5k easy walk, just before dark. Saw lots of kangaroos everywhere.
